We regularly need new Cod Heads, so would appreciate contributions from lifelong supporters of the Mariners. This week's Cod Head is Tony Hamilton.

Fishy:
When did you first start supporting the Mariners, and what was your first game?

Tony:
My first game was against Sheffield Utd when Town won 4-0 in the 79-80 season, when George Kerr was in charge.

Fishy:
Who is the best player you ever saw wearing a Grimsby Town shirt?

Tony:
Chris Nicholl because he passed on his experience to all the other players.

Fishy:
If there is one game you were allowed to go back in time and watch what would it be and why?

Tony:
The Liverpool game from last season because Town were total underdogs that night and the team Liverpool put out I think helped Town play the way they did.

Fishy:
What are your favourite and least favourite away grounds?

Tony:
My favourite ground is the City ground (Nottingham Forest).
My least favourite ground is the Shay (Halifax Town).

Fishy:
What, in your opinion, are GTFC's best and worst seasons since you have been supporting them?

Tony:
The best season was when we got to Wembley twice because to watch your team there once was special but to go there twice in six weeks was unbelievable.

Fishy:
What is the most eventful day you have ever had in the course of following the Mariners?

Tony:
The best days were when Town played either Nottingham teams (Forest or County) because at the time the train fare was cheap and we used to go for a good day out watching Town play.

Fishy:
What is the strangest thing you have ever done at a game?

Tony:
I spent nearly a season watch Town play while being on crutches, bearing in mind it was standing room only then, how it worked I used to get a taxi to every home game and my mates dad used to save me a place on the terraces, and spend the game propped up on a wall in the Lower Smiths Stand.

Fishy:
Who is the greatest ever GTFC manager?

Tony:
Alan Buckley because he rewrote the history books when he took Town to Wembley twice in one season.

Fishy:
How many games a season do you get to now, and what do you do while Town are playing games that you can't get to?

Tony:
I see all the home games with being a season ticket holder and listen to the away games on local radio.

Fishy:
Name your all-time starting eleven since you have been watching Town?

Tony:

Fishy:
Do your children support the Mariners?

Tony:
I've got 2 children and they know who Grimsby Town are and one of them is named after a football team because she was born between the two Wembley cup finals.
