Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby be next season?

Town 16-1 to Win the League!

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 12/06/2003

BOOKMAKER William Hill have made Grimsby Town 16-1 to bounce back to the First Division by winning the Division Two championship next season, following their relegation in the previous campaign. Of the three clubs to be relegated, Town are the least fancied to make a quick return.

With no clear favourite for the title race, the bookies have made relegation duo Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton joint favourites to bounce back at the first bite of the cherry, with defeated play-off finalists QPR ranked just behind them.

Town are rated by Hills as equally likely to lift the crown as last year's Division Three champions Rushden & Diamonds. Chesterfield, at 80-1, are the least fancied club in the division.
