Crowe Too Good To Leave Out!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 12/11/2003

PAUL Groves says Jason Crowe is one of his best finds of the season and is too good to leave out of his midfield position. "With what Jason did I can't leave him out of midfield. He worked well with Des and gave us great balance."

"It's a big area for us." Groves told Stuart Rowson of the Grimsby Telegraph. "If Crowey can go there and play like that then I'm loathe to leave him out. He's got great energy."

"It's a great find. With Alan (Pouton) and Stacy (Coldicott) out we're two down from in there. Des has had a number of different partners, different people and it's been a juggling act."

"Hopefully now we've found somebody in Crowey who can do it. He gives us great cover. Wherever he's played he's done well. With his performances in the last two or three games he deserves to stay in. He's too good to leave out."

"People forget that he was £1-million player. He's got tremendous pedigree and he started his career at Arsenal. We were lucky to get him."
