Hockless: Deal Offer Not Good Enough!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 20/05/2004

GRAHAM Hockless claims that he has been made an offer by Town chiefs but says it is not enough for him to pledge his future to Town.

He told the Hull Daily Mail; "I've got an offer on the table, but I'm not happy with it and it's now up to them to come back to me."

"Whenever I played I feel I did well and I think I'm now ready for regular first-team football. Obviously, it was disappointing to suffer relegation, but with every game we played it helped me to gain more experience."

"Next season is going to be an important one for me and it's important I make the right decision about my future."

His agent Garry Thornburn, said; "We have an offer, but nothing has been agreed at all. Graham is considering his options."

Hockless commented; "I've got a few possibilities in the pipeline and it's really just a matter of waiting to see what happens.

Town fans will not want Hockless to leave. His appearances in the first team so far have been impressive and he has been viewed as one of the Mariners' rising stars.
