The Bring Back 'Flash' Campaign

DARREN Mansaram is currently on loan to Conference side Halifax and, if the truth be told, he is probably very happy and enjoying himself. Rumours are already suggesting he has asked to stay at Halifax on a contract.

The club have not received any requests or enquiries from Halifax to date but that does not mean that it won't happen.
But one cannot blame him if he has.
Mansaram has been treated badly by a section of the crowd at Blundell Park who boo and catcall as soon as his name is announced or he enters the playing field.
No one is saying that he is perfect or he doesn't goof out now and again, but he is a Grimsby Town player and he deserves better than that.
If we look at the present scoring rate of Town, it is fairly dismal and Russell Slade has been hard put to find someone for the front line who can actually put one in the net and, so far, he has not managed to find one.
Mansaram on the other hand is scoring well at Halifax and is Town's top scorer albeit not all the goals are for Town. So perhaps now is the time to bring him home, get the fans off his back and give him a chance to show what he has learned at Halifax as a regular first team player.
There have been calls over the last few weeks for that to happen and the Fishy supports those calls and will, as promised, campaign for his return.

I know I'm going to get it in the neck but I'm saying it anyway. There is talk about whether Flash will be coming back or not. Personally I would love to see the guy back in the black and white. I know he isn't many peoples favourite person but is there any need to jump on his case before he has had chance to get his feet.
The kid is still young and was unlucky to be thrown into the deep end in a town team that was on the way down at the time. But the fact he is one of the few who is still here from the team two years ago. Now he had had the chance to drop a league and get some very good experience and got some games and goals under his belt and I feel he will be better for it.
But I can already see what is going to happen. He will walk out on the field for the first time in months and the Blundell park boo boys will get back on his case before he is even had a good chance with the ball.
So the point of this is, I feel we should join to together and give the guy a fighting chance. To get behind Darren and cheer him on even if he misses a sitter (others have this season) I feel every one should support this campaign.

Like most clubs we have a tradition of whipping boys. We haven't had someone to blame, when it all goes wrong, since he's been gone.
People pay their money and are entitled to express their opinion, and ruin someone's career, even if that opinion is total bollox.
He's not the next Clive Mendonca, but he does deserve a chance.

He is only 20, hardly the finished product. I remember when he was scoring every week for the reserves and everyone was clamouring for Flash to be in the first team not that long ago.
