CHESTER City are reported to be closely monitoring the position of the Grimsby Town and former Tranmere Rovers striker Andy Parkinson who is out of contract at Blundell Park at the end of this season.
Parkinson who has notched up over 200 Football League appearances in his career, is thought to be receptive to a move back to the North West.
City chairman Stephen Vaughan told the The Daily Post last night; "Andy has done well for Grimsby this season, and our management team are very interested if he becomes available."
"We are aware his contract at Grimsby expires in the summer, so we are monitoring events. If we could get him in before the end of the season then that would be of interest, but we will just take things step by step."
