Squad Numbers Released

THE Mariners have released the first team squad numbers for this season, with two notable gaps. Russell Slade is still looking for a left sided defender, who will take up the number 3 shirt. The Town boss is also banking that one of several creative midfield targets will fill the number 7 jersey.

In addition to the two major new signings Russell Slade is also hoping to have a squad of around twenty players, which means a further three squad numbers are expected to be issued. The full list of squad numbers is as follows.

  • The Carling Cup draw takes place on Tuesday morning. Grimsby will be drawn against one of 18 seeds in the Northern section, which include: Wolves, Leeds, Hull, Sheff Wed, Forest and Sheff Utd. The match, over one leg only, will take place on Aug 23rd or 24th.
