Lee Thorpe2003/045 (1)0 goals

Lee Thorpe

Lincoln City reject who was a desperate loan signing from Leyton Orient in the 2003/2004 season. Groves was criticised for signing him for 3 months as the striker was not really renowned for scoring goals, the one thing we needed desperately.

To be fair Thorpe was quite good, he put himself around a little and created a few goals, however the reason he was brought to the club was to score goals, and he failed to do so.

Thorpe was rumoured to be joining Town on a permanent basis but left Leyton Orient after his return and signed for Bristol Rovers.

Lee left Rovers in the late stages of the 2004/2005 season and joined Swansea City.
