Kevin Ellison - In Or Out?

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 17/01/2006

RUSSELL Slade has made no secret of the fact that he wants to sign Kevin Ellison from Hull City. Ellison has been on Slade's list for some time and, behind the scenes, talks have been going on.

It is not clear yet why there has been no moves from either club but Slade provided a clue when telling Radio Humberside; "It's not a definite no. It's a question of timing more than anything else."

That could mean that Hull City are prepared to loan him out but not immediately, which could mean that Slade may have to think again.

In the meantime, Town have signed Junior Mendes on loan from Huddersfield and that too may have some part in Slade's decision to continue his efforts to sign Ellison.

Slade may make the situation clearer after the weekend.
