Gritton To Lincoln

IN what appears to have been a very busy two days of shuffling the pack, Russell Slade has transferred Town striker Martin Gritton to neighbours Lincoln City for a nominal fee and a contract until the Summer of 2007.

Gritton has been with Town since December 2004 after signing from Torquay United and scored six goals in 49 Mariners appearances.

"It's great to get a move in a season when I haven't played as much as I want to," he told the Lincoln official site. "To move just down the road to get a move to play is fantastic."

Simon Ramsden's move to Rochdale has been finalised and he is now a Rochdale player.

An announcement about new signings for the Mariners will be made tomorrow if Slade is successful in his search. Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the last day of the transfer window.
