Bury Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 18/03/2006

PAUL Bolland (ankle) and Michael Reddy (groin) are facing a race against time to be fit for Saturday's clash with Bury. Bolland is the more likely of the two to make it, but Reddy has a 50/50 chance after progressing more quickly than expected with his injury.

Russell Slade is expected to push Gary Cohen up front in Reddy's absence, and promote Junior Mendes from the bench to replace Cohen on the right wing.

Rob Jones suspension is carried over to the Bury game after Tuesday's match with Rochdale was postponed, so he is a definite non-starter and Justin Whittle will continue in his place.

Slade Told the Grimsby Telegraph that the team's training wasn't disrupted greatly with the postponement and he was happy with the chance to give the side time to freshen up a bit.

"Bolly has a few extra days to recover from his ankle knock while Redds could also benefit. At the moment, he is only rated 50/50 for Saturday but we'll see how he is."

"But it does mean he should be available for the rearranged date against Rochdale."

Bury are struggling at the bottom end of the table, and their recent games have been very low scoring, with only seven goals in their last eight matches.

Bury Lineup: Dootson, Kennedy, Fitzgerald, Challinor, Flitcroft, Mattis, Murphy, Scott, Anyinsah, Tipton, Speight.

Subs: Woodthorpe, Youngs, Jarman, Grundy, Marrison.
