WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to Swindon.

Key Player | Gareth Whalley. The ex-Bradford man is an excellent ball playing midfielder who given time and room in this division could cause lots of damage. Dennis Wise will be wanting Whalley to repeat the kind of form that saw Bradford splash out £600,000 on him back in 1998.
Strengths | Swindon have a decent set of players and in the shape of Christian Roberts and Lee Peacock, should score goals. Perhaps most importantly, if things go wrong this season, both Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet are registered as players and could make an appearance or two for the Robins.
Weaknesses | The weight of expectation around the County Ground may be too much for Wise and his side. Over the last year the Robins have lost a lot of decent players and with yet more changes expected, a promotion bid might be a bridge too far.
Prediction | 2nd. Swindon are traditionally a strong side in this league. If they can match the physical strength of the division, they should have an enjoyable season.
