Crewe Confirm Their Interest In Tom Newey

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 23/10/2006

CREWE assistant boss Neil Baker has confirmed that Crewe are interested in signing Tom Newey. With Billy Jones looking likely to leave the club in January Crewe are looking at signing another defender.

"We are nowhere near to signing a new left-back which is why we were looking at loans last week."

"We're looking at plenty and we've looked at a Newey"
