Beat the Bookies: Week 27

LAST weekend was a complete disaster on the football and betting front that has already been etched from my memory.

This weekend Grimsby take on Boston in a match that defeat for either side would mean another nail in their coffin. Town's form is wretched, it's hard to put a case for a Grimsby win, other than that Town have never lost to the Pilgrims, but that doesn't mean much! The bookies make Boston favourites but not surprisingly odds-on as the Pilgrims are Evens to inflict another defeat on the Mariners. Only the very brave can back Town at 12/5. However with Alan Buckley's job at risk, the Town boss could pull a rabbit out of that hat, and the Mariners might surprise us all. You never know!
Elsewhere in League Two Hartlepool are on a roll at the moment, but they face a tough challenge at second placed Swindon, who themselves have only slightly less impressive recent form. However, Pool's form is excellent both home and away are are well worth considering at 2/1
Rochdale have also run into some form after a terrible run, but face the toughest trip in League Two away at a well organised Walsall. Walsall don't concede many or score many, but this week they are up against Rochdale who have been profilific goalscorers of late and are worth backing to cause a huge upset at 5/1.
