Fishy Verdict:Left-sided midfielder who successive Town managers have largely ignored, which is odd as he has often been the only squad members whose natural position if on the left wing. When Alan Buckley arrived at the club Hegarty finally got a decent run in the side, only to see himself supplanted by Ciaran Toner - whose natural position is in the centre! Nonetheless Alan Buckley must rate Hegarty as he rewarded him with a new deal. But another season on the bench would seem to be on the cards.
