Paterson To Scunny?

THE rumours circulating that Martin Paterson may be signing for Scunthorpe United is bad news for the Mariners. Alan Buckley was hoping he would be able to get him on loan if he returned to Stoke City.
There is some strength in the rumours as Buckley also feels he will end up in Scunthorpe even though they are not the only club he is talking to. He should know as he has been talking to him.
Although Buckley has stated that he does not need to go out searching for a striker as it is not a major priority because of the players he has at the club, I doubt if he would have passed up the opportunity to bring Paterson to Blundell Park.
With players returning for training in the next week, it is expected that some further movement in the transfer market will follow and Buckley may have further news for us. Let us hope so
