Macca's Back at Town!

TOWN legend John McDermott has been appointed as a coach at the club's football academy, says the BBC today, He will join ex-Mariner Gary Childs in looking after the young players coming through the ranks at Blundell Park.
In June he applied for the manager's job at Boston, following their relegation from the Football League but their relegation to an even lower league changed the situation at Boston and Macca was forced to look elsewhere.
He retired this summer after making a record-breaking 646 league appearances for the Mariners over a period of 20 years but was intent in staying in the game.
At the time he left Town there was no position for him but the situation has now changed and he is back at Blundell Park, albeit indirectly as he will be attached to the Grimsby Institute.
Town fans will wish him well and welcome him back.
