Hands Off! says John Fenty

By: Mariners Net
Date: 05/11/2007

Town chairman John Fenty has issued a firm 'hands off' to Peterborough after Darren Ferguson's side released a statement over the weekend confirming that they had made enquiries for defender Tom Newey.

The chairman said: "We are not looking to lose any of our players and are not interested in listening to any offers."

"In fact, it is quite the reverse, we want to continue building the squad to help us move up the table and challenge at the top end."

"As far as we are concerned it is definitely 'hands off' - that is the message to anyone thinking about an approach".
