Lillis Returns to Scunny
By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 29/09/2009
GOALKEEPER Josh Lillis has returned to Glanford Park following his month on loan with the Mariners. The Scunthorpe shot-stopper stood in whilst Nick Colgan was injured, and put in some excellent performances.
Colgan has now returned to fitness and the 35-year-old will resume between the sticks for the Mariners, starting at Wednesday night at Chesterfield.
Lillis signed a three year deal with Scunthorpe whilst at Blundell Park, but looks like being a second choice to Joe Murphy for the foreseeable future with the Iron. However lack of first team football and his nearby location may mean that Town fans may well see more of the 22-year-old
This site is by the fans, for the fans, and we will consider articles on any subject relating to the Mariners whether it be related to current news, a nostalgic look back in the past, a story about a player, a game or games in the past, something about Blundell Park or football in general.
