Crewe Postponenment Expected

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 07/01/2010

SATURDAY'S game with Crewe is not expected to go ahead with the Cheshire club rating the match as "very doubtful". Crewe are expected to call the game off a long time before Saturday, so a postponement is expected either on Thursday or on Friday.

The League Two fixture list is expected to be almost totally decimated this weekend, and there might not be much football played for at least a fortnight with the cold spell set to continue.

Meanwhile Grimsby's game with Notts County, which was unnecessarily postponed on Boxing Day, has been rearranged for Wednesday February 17th (7:45 KO) at Meadow Lane.

Assuming the Crewe game is postponed then Grimsby's next scheduled game is at home to Cheltenham on Saturday 16th January.

Postscript: The game is now postponed
