WITH many fans calling for fringe players in the squad to be used for the remainder of the season, their wishes have been granted by default because of Town's injury and suspension list. No fewer then seven players are unavailable for the trip to Newport including an entire back four!

Defenders Steven Watt, Darran Kempson, Lee Ridley and Peter Bore are all out injured, as well as midfielders Micky Cummins (hamstring), Michael Leary (ill) and striker Charles Ademeno (suspended).

One player back from injury is the forgotten man, midfielder Bryan Hughes, was has only managed one appearance since signing from Burton Albion in January.

Newport are in a similar position in the league to Town, with seemingly little to play for with eight games to go, despite being one of the front runners in the first half of the campaign.
