Beat the Bookies: Week 20

MIDDLESBROUGH'S win at Cardiff ensured that Beat the Bookies stands a good chance of ending 2011 in profit, although that depends on picking at least one winner in the Boxing Day matches!

Premier League Tip
Liverpool v Blackburn - away win (15.01, Pinnacle). On the face of it this may seem an unlikely result, but look at that price! Liverpool have not been firing on every cylinder of late and it has to be said that Blackburn have not enjoyed the best of luck in recent matches. They and Steve Kean have nothing to lose in this game, and unusual Boxing Day results are not unknown!
Championship Tip
Southampton v Crystal Palace - away win (7.82, Pinnacle). Southampton have definitely been wobbling of late and Palace seem to have improved in recent games. This could be another shock!
League One Tip
Huddersfield v Chesterfield - away win (9.00, Bet Internet). This on paper is another home banker but both of the teams in in good form so this might not be the thrashing many expect.
League Two Tip
Crawley Town v Gillingham - away win (6.54, Pinnacle). Another match between two in-form sides. Crawley look like they might have to sell a few players in January so you wonder whether that might have an effect on this game.
Blue Square Premier Tip
Gateshead v Darlington (3.88, Pinnacle). Gateshead had a great start to the season but have really faded since the opening couple of months. Darlo may be on the brink but you can be sure their team spirit will be strong in this local derby.
