Beat the Bookies (Summer): Week 8

LEEDS'S win over Wigan was the highlight of last weekend, and one of our biggest wins of the summer so far. The cricket test is still going on and South Africa are not out of it yet as well - that could be another upset if the tourists continue to improve.

Rugby League

  • Hull KR v Hull FC - away win (2.68, Marathon). The Black and Whites are on a great run at the moment. Rovers did well at St Helens but otherwise their recent results have not been great.

    Baseball

  • Texas Rangers @ Los Angeles Angels - Rangers (2.3, Youwin). Angels started the season poorly, then had a great run, and recently seemed to have slumped again. Rangers have been pretty consistent throughout. If this was football it would be a promotion six pointer, but Rangers are definitely the classier horse and it's surprising they are such long odds.

    Cricket

  • Nottinghamshire v Hampshire - Notts (1.8, Blue Square). Notts seem to be unbeatable at the moment.
