Town Draw Blank at Kidderminster

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 16/09/2012

GRIMSBY missed the chance to rise a place in the table when they failed to beat bottom side Kidderminster. Town were at fault for missing what chances they did manage to create with Colbeck coming closest - striking the woodwork twice. In the end it finished 0-0, and Town can look back on another clean sheet.

Wood and Cook shrugged off their injury problems ate Town named an unchanged side from that started against Forest Green.

After a shaky start Town started to come into the game more and Artus put a good headed chance over after 18 minutes.

Towards the end of the first half Elding headed a good chance straight at the 'keeper then Peniket has a good glanced header for the home side which flashed wide of the post.

Straight at the start of the second half Town wasted a golden opportunity. A Thomas effort was parried by the 'keeper to Colbeck who smashed a good chance against the underside of the bar, and Cook hit the rebound wide.

Deep in injury time Colbeck hit the bar again! Town had to settle for a point, a good defensive display but they missed their chances.
