Town Draw Kiddy in FA Cup

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 08/10/2012

GRIMSBY have received a home draw to Kidderminster in the FA Cup. The two met recently at Kidderminster, where the draw was 0-0. The winner of the tie will enter the draw for the First Round when the Football League clubs enter the tournament.

There is also a prize of £12,500 for reaching Round 1, and £18,000 to the winning clubs from that stage. Last year Grimsby reached Round 1 where they beat Port Vale after a replay but were knocked out in the next round by Blue Square South side Salisbury - who are already knocked out this year. The Mariners need to win 8 ties to progress to the final at Wembley.

Kidderminster just missed out on the play-off last season, but this year are languishing at the other end of the table having got off to a terrible start to the campaign. Since then they have pulled away from the bottom four and the Worcestershire club are presently on an eight match unbeaten run. Town have never beaten Harriers in the Conference in 5 attempts.

Boston and Lincoln have also been drawn at home, and there are several other all-Conference lies such as .Woking v Ebbsfleet, Forest Green Rovers v Dartford, AFC Telford v Nuneaton, Wrexham v Southport, Alfreton v Gateshead and Cambridge v Luton.
