Beat the Bookies: Week 20

AFTER a long barren run the winners came flooding back last week! 4 winners out of 6, including one at more than 9-1, produced a very bountiful harvest.

Grimsby v Wrexham is a tough match to call this weekend. The bookies make Town slight favourites but there's not much in it. If in doubt do nowt is the old betting adage which best applies to this game.

League One

  • Bury v Shrewsbury - away win (3.21, Pinnacle). Bury's form is abysmal, Shrewsbury's isn't great either, but at least they have won a game recently!

    League Two

  • Port Vale v AFC Wimbledon - away win (5.5, Boylesports). AFC Wimbledon seem to be slowly improving. They've picked up a few points recently and their recent performances have not been that far off getting more points than they have done. Vale have only picked up 1 point in 4 games.

    Blue Square Premier

  • Macclesfield v Lincoln City - away win (3.68, Pinnacle). Lincoln haven't played many games recently but their recent form has been as good as anyone in the division
  • Newport County v Braintree Town (5.75, Betway). Braintree have shown on a number of occasions this season they are capable of beating the top sides, and Newport have had a few shock results this season already. Another possible upset?
