Charles Ademeno

Charles Ademeno, could have played football at a much higher level, and came to Town with so much promise but he delivered so little, partly down to injuries.

Charles made his debut for Southend in 2006. However after many loan spells at Welling United and Cambridge United just to name some. He Joined Crawley Town in 2009, and had just one very good season at Crawley which saw him scoring 11 league goals including 3 in just 8 minutes! He joined town after being left out of contract, it was decided Town would pay 10K compensation. Many fans, myself included thought that was an absolute bargain. Charles joined Town but suffered injury after injury, in the very few games he did get he showed glimpses that he was a willing runner and quite pacy and pressured defenders into mistakes but he also showed that he had fitness issues and his shooting was quite poor. However, he kept battling then away at Histon one day he scored 2 rather lucky goals in a 6-1 win. However a change in managers and more injuries saw Charles released on the 4th June 2011 after only 7 league outings. John Fenty then went on record to say that the club should have done their "homework" before signing Charles. On the 27th June Charles joined newly promoted team AFC Wimbledon, and he duly scored on the opening day however after poor form and yet more injuries he found himself released yet again. after a stint at Eastbourne Borough Charles currently plays for Salisbury.
