TWO wins and two losses last week almost exactly cancelled one another out. Seattle Sounders did the business in the "soccer" game, but they had to come from 2-1 down to win 3-2. The other win was OAK Athletics beating CHI White Sox on Friday night.

  • D C Utd v Toronto FC - home win (2.15, Bet Victor).A good point at New England last week must give DC United some hope in the battle of the bottom two. They won this game 3-1 last season. Both teams have only won 1 game all season but the home side should triumph against the Canadians. "

    Tennis

  • Benjamin Becker v Alexandr Dolgopolov - Becker (2.05, Betway). Becker has an excellent record on grass (he won Nottingham last year). His last seven games have been on grass, so he obviously fancies his chances at Queens and/or Wimbledon this year. Dolgopolov is playing the second game on the surface, pretty much what everyone else is doing.

    Cricket

  • England vs Sri Lanka One Day Match (ICC) - Sri Lanka (2.44, 32 Red). The bookies tend to overprice England because most people in this country tend to bet on them.

    Baseball

  • HOU Astros @ SEA Mariners (13th June) - Over 7.5 (2.05, Pinnacle). HOU are a sort of MLB version of Wigan, they score plenty with a lightweight squad, but concede a lot, and usually lose. The only difference is there is no relegation. The two starting pitches have a combined ERA of over 10 here.
