Nuneaton v Grimsby Team News

PAUL Hurst has vowed to put a strong team out for the FA Trophy, despite many fans lack of appetite for the competition. The tournament has a tendency to disrupt the fixture list, especially in the later rounds, and two years ago many fans felt it got in the way of a push for the title.
However the lack of opportunities for the first team mean Hurst has a fresh squad to pick from. Town played a friendly with Boston this week, which they won 4-0 with Nicky Walker (2), Ross Hannah and Paddy McLaughlin all finding the target.
It's likely that at least some fringe players well get an outing at Nuneaton. Losing in Round One wouldn't be the end of the world, but Hurst might use it as an opportunity to have a look at players not normally in the team in a competitive game.
Town have a poor record against Nuneaton who they have only beaten once in five attempts. Grimsby is the only away game that Nuneaton have not lost this season, which sees them second bottom of the Conference. That's largely down to their terrible away form, though. Their home form is quite respectable with five wins and two draws in twelve games.
