Grimsby v Braintree Team News

GRIMSBY hope to make it three wins on the bounce following their victories over the clubs at the top and bottom of the table in the last week. They now face a club roughly in the middle of the table, Braintree, in the second game this week at Blundell Park.

Ollie Palmer (hamstring) is Town's only doubt and it looks unlikely that the Mansfield loanee will even make the squad for the game. Jon-Paul Pittman is the most likely change to be made to the squad, as Christian Jolley is better suited to a wide role and his been filling in up front in the absence of Palmer and Piitman.

Braintree defender Matt Paine is suspended but Remy Clerima is available following an injury as a direct replacement.

Town have the edge over Braintree in their previous meeting with 3 wins to the Essex club's 2. The previous two meetings at Blundell Park have both resulted in victories and on both occasions Grimsby have kept a clean sheet.
