Welling v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 27/03/2015

TOWN have made two new signings for the remainder of the season. Winger Jordan Chapell has arrived on loan from Torquay and experienced defender Josh Gowling has joined him from Kidderminster. Gowling is unavailable for tomorrow's match at Welling, but Chapell is likely to feature on the bench at least.

Jack Mackreth is doubtful through illness and Chapell is a possibility to come into the side to replace him if necessary. Christian Jolley started at Dover but only lasted 64 minutes before Paul Hurst replaced him with Pittman.

Gowling has just received his tenth yellow card of the season for Kiddie so is suspended for two games. He has mainly be signed in case Toto Nsiala is suspended in the remaining weeks of the season as the Town defender is close to ten bookings.

Relegation-threatened Welling have also just made a new signing, striker Tashan Adeyinka, from Maidenhead in the Conference South. Midfielder Joe Healy will return from suspension for the Wings, but defender Chris Bush takes his place in the stands after being sent off last week. Ex-Mariner Jamal Fyfield is a doubt for the Wings after missing the last games through injury.

Grimsby need to beat Welling to maintain pressure on the teams above them and continue the winning run.
