Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby be next season?

Mags: Will he sign?

Pair Could Leave

DEFENDERS Carl Magnay and Shaun Pearson may both have played their last games for Grimsby Town after being strongly linked with moves to Football League clubs. The pair were probably Town's two best players last season but Grimsby's success has put them in the shop window for others to covet.

With everyone except James McKeown out of contract this summer, it means Town cannot get a transfer fee for any of last season's players. However on the plus side there are hundreds of players on the market looking for a new contract, so Paul Hurst may have to pluck some more signings from relative obscurity to become potential title-winners next season.

Meanwhile John-Paul Pittman has become the second player to sign for the Mariners next season. The striker has put behind him the penalty miss at Wembley and signed a one-year deal to keep him at Blundell Park next season.

Ten other players, including Magnay and Pearson have been offered new deals but are yet to sign them.
