Grimsby v Braintree Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 05/05/2016

GRIMSBY have a full squad available for tonight's first leg tie with Braintree at Blundell Park so Paul Hurst will be able to pick whatever side he thinks will be able to unlock Braintree's defence.

The Mariners have been unable to score against the division's surprise package this season. The Essex side won at Blundell Park last month and Town drew 0-0 in Essex last year. Braintree ended the season in third place, and have the best form of the four sides who reached the play-offs.

Town have failed in the play-offs for the last three years but have got progressively closer every year and last season they lost on penalties to Bristol Rovers.

Forest Green look the most likely opponents in the other half of the semis, as they won 1-0 at Dover last night.
