Wycombe v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 12/08/2016

JOSH Gowling returns to the squad for the visit to Wycombe on Saturday but he is far from certain to go straight back into the side after a good performance by his replacement Shaun Pearson against Derby.

Skipper Craig Disley (concession) and Zak Mills (hamstring) are said to be close to a return, although realistically the bench might be the best they can hope for after missing the first two games through injury.

Wycombe include former Mariner summer signing Nicky Southwell in their ranks. The ex-Pilgreim joined the Chairboys from Boston in the summer, where he did well last season in the National League North.

Wycombe have lost both their opening games 1-0, losing to Bristol City most recently in the EFL Cup. Town have only beaten Wycombe twice in sixteen games.
