Town Sign Leeds Striker

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 26/01/2018

GRIMSBY have signed Leeds United striker Mallik Wilks on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old has just returned from a loan spell at Accrington where he scored 3 goals in 18 first team games.

Wilks, who has been assigned the 18 jersey formerly associated with departed Tom Bolarinwa, is the third player to join in the transfer window following the acquisitions of forward Charles Vernam and goalkeeper Jake Kean.

The transfer window ends at the end of the month with the Mariners still hoping to do more business in it.
