GRIMSBY midfielder Harry Clifton has left the club to join Doncaster Rovers. The 25-year-old turned down a new deal and opted to join Town's League Two rivals. Clifton has represented his home town team for most of his life having joined the Mariners at the Under-10 level.

Clifton had been the longest-serving player at the club, as he had turned professional in August 2015. He was the Young Player of the Year twice and won the main Player of the Season award in 2022–23, the year of the FA Cup Quarter Finals.

Clifton was a versatile player, who played in many different roles and can be proud of his time with the Mariners.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Tyrell Warren has joined Town as a full back, he was most recently with Barrow and has also played for FC Halifax.
