Town dominated most of the game and missed a stack of chances in both halves. After 10 minutes an ummarked Steve Livingstone headed over from six yards, following a corner by Stacey Coldicott. Just before half time Town drew level when Allen latched on to a ball into the box from Livingstone, skipped past a defender, and slotted home for 10 yards out. The second half was dominated by Town, but yet again they hadn't brought their shooting boots with them, and the whole game emphasised just how critical Lennie Lawrence's search for a new striker is. |
