Kiwomya Trial Stalled

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 14/03/2002

CHRIS Kiwomya was not included in today's reserve fixture at Blackpool because he is not yet match fit and therefore his trial with the Mariners has stalled. Manager Groves wanted to see how he went in the game today but it was not possible.

Paul Groves admitted that he was reluctant to take a gamble on the player and has ruled out offering him any sort of terms until he has fully assessed him.

Chris is a quality player but he's not played first-team football for nearly three months and his fitness has suffered."

Kiwomya is reported to be unable at this stage to prove that he could last the pace at first-team level.
