Crucial Contract Talks Begin!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 15/04/2002

PETER Furneaux, Grimsby's chairman, is to have immediate talks with his fellow directors, to formulate an offer to Paul Groves and his management team and Paul Groves is moving to sign Boulding.

"Paul and Graham have done a terrific job in keeping us in this division and there cannot be a single fan that would not agree with me on that.

Mr Furneaux said: "I'm pleased for them and I know just how hard they have worked for Grimsby Town Football Club and we will reward that."

Paul Groves will concentrate on sealing striker Mick Boulding's future at Blundell Park now that The Mariners are safe from relegation.

Groves said: "We will do our very best to keep Michael here at the club and we'll be trying to get things sorted out as soon as we can."
