Is football a business or a sport?

LOAN star Steve Kabba said he is no rush to sign for Grimsby Town until the end of the season despite Grimsby chairman Peter Furneaux agreeing a deal with Eagles chairman Simon Jordan last week.

The Grimsby Telgraph reports that the final decision rests with the striker and Trevor Francis had wanted Kabba to return to London, but Jordan has controversially ruled against his own boss.

The Grimsby Telegraph also revealed that Kabba could keep the Mariners waiting until the end of November, when his current three-month loan expires, before he makes up his mind.

"I've got another month left on my loan and there's no rush for me," said Kabba. Everyone else seems to be wanting to rush it and get it done, but not me. I'm just taking my time and making my mind up."

"I spoke to Trevor Francis last week and he said he didn't know anything about me staying here for a year. But I've spoken to him since and he says that I'm allowed to stay if I want to. He said if I was at Palace now I'd be on the bench, but that's no good. I want to be playing.

"That's what this is all about. Me playing games. I've got to look after myself and I can do that by playing, and playing well. But I'm happy here because I'm playing and scoring. I couldn't be happier."

Once again, Grimsby Town is being placed in a corner as Kabba cam leave at the end of his current loan period leaving the club high and dry.

If he is as happy as he states, and knowing how popular he is with the fans, why can't he make his mind up?
