TOWN head to managerless Brighton on Saturday boosted by the news that Mark Hughes is likely to release full back Darren Barnard from International duty with Wales in time for Town's left back to be able to meet up with the Grimsby squad for the match in Sussex.

In other news Iain Anderson is available to take a place in the starting XI after eight weeks out with an achilles injury, if chosen. The former Preston winger came on as a substitute against QPR on Saturday and got through a whole reserve outing versus Scunthorpe in midweek.

Marcel Cas is not yet ready to return to first team action after sustaining a cut against Sheffield Wednesday two weeks ago, but is hopefully only a week or so away from a return now the Dutch midfielder has had his stitches out.

Striker Darren Mansaram has also resumed training this week, but is still some time away from returning to first team duty. Simon Ford, Alan Pouton and Stacy Coldicott all remain out through injury.

Paul Groves is reluctant to bring his injured players back too quickly, telling Mariners Net: "It’s just a case of getting the right amount of fitness into them and have them gradually coming back instead of having to chuck them in."

Danny Cullip, Paul Watson and Gary Hart have all returned to full training for the table-topping Seagulls after injuries and give caretaker manager Bob Booker not far from a full squad to pick from for his first game in charge following the departure of Steve Coppell to Reading on Thursday.
