TOWN veteran John McDermott has agreed terms with the club for a nineteenth consecutive season at Blundell Park. The 36-year-old Player of the Year for the season just completed is expected to sign on the dotted line tomorrow in a joint playing and coaching role.

The Boro-born full-back, who has made over 600 appearances for the Mariners, told Mariners Net: "I've spoken to the chairman and the manager and we've ironed a few things out.

"I'm coming in tomorrow to sign for another year, player and coach."

A number of other players have been offered terms at Blundell Park, and Town boss Russell Slade hopes to tie up further signings this week.
