Wes Parker

Promissing defender who came through the youth ranks at Blundell Park and emerged in the late stages of 2002. Parker notably played a blinder in the Boxing Day 3-1 away win over Derby County.

With the regular back four all out for various reasons, Young Wes played an absolute blinder, marking Manchester City legend Georgi Kinkladze out of the entire game, and earning him a lot of rave reviews. Despite this Parker never saw his career take off at Grimsby and a year and a half after the Derby game he was released.

Clubless for a while, Wes signed up for Conference North club Gainsborough Trinity where he has been for nearly a year now.
