Town Wreck Rochdale

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 07/12/2005

TOWN devastated Rochdale with four second-half goals after being 1-0 down at half time at Blundell Park last night, bringing them one point behind leaders Wycombe.

Ricky Lambert scored for Rochdale in the first half but in the second half, on 67 minutes, Gary Jones took a cross from Michael Reddy and slotted it home.

Gary Cohen was on as sub and headed home from a corner by Tom Newey on 69 minutes and the Mariners were in front.

in the 74th Minute Rob Jones fired home what was thought to be the winner but in injury time Reddy ran half way up the pitch to round the goalie and tap the ball in.

A great home win for Town but with only 3,896 souls present to see it.
