BOSTON manager Steve Evans is to be charged by the Football Association after they requested a report from the police regarding the ejection of Evans from Blundell Park on Saturday.
Grimsby goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall escaped unpunished after appearing to handle the ball outside his area and Evans abused the fourth official Keith Lawson. He was then escorted out of the stadium by the police safety officer for foul and abusive language.
FA spokesman Andrin Cooper said: "We have requested reports from Humberside Police and the referee in order to ascertain what has actually happened. We will look closely at all the evidence before deciding what course of action to take."
Evans is seeking advice from League Managers' Association chief executive John Barnwell.
Pilgrims chairman Jon Sotnick has launched his own investigation and claimed Evans' safety was placed in jeopardy after he was locked out of the stadium without any money or a mobile phone.
