Christmas Greeting From the Fishy!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 24/12/2006

THE Fishy crew would like to thank you all for the tremendous interest and support you have shown in 2006. We hope that the service we have endeavoured to provide throughout the year to you, the fans and supporters, has been what you wanted and we look forward to being with you again in the New Year

Once again, we would like to thank those who have worked with us this year. Many have chipped in with their reports, information and help when it has been needed. Thank you for your time and efforts.

We also thank the local media, the Grimsby Telegraph, Radio Humberside and Mariners Net, for their help and co-operation which has helped us significantly during the year. In particular, Geoff Ford and his team, David Burns, Dale Ladson and David Smith.

Thank you again to Radio Humberside for bringing the live match commentaries to people around the world who are not able to get to Blundell Park.

And, to all those who subscribe to the Fishy, make their views known, who praise and criticise we say a very special thank you.

We thank all those involved with our club. The directors, management and staff and players and the volunteers who help the club.

Thank you to the committee of the Trust who work many hours without pay to try to help in securing the future of the club.

A very, very big thank you to Alan Buckley who has brought back to Blundell Park the hope, faith and success we thought had gone forever.

Finally a thank you to Bernard Morley, who has worked tirelessly over the years for the fans of Grimsby Town, but is now in ill health and in a retirement home. One of the many unsung heroes of Grimsby Town who work voluntarily in the background without seeking recognition.

To you all we say thank you. We wish you and your families a happy Christmas and a prosperous and successful New Year.
