Jermaine Palmer

Chunky looking young forward who was given a year's deal in summer 2005 following a release from Stoke City. Jermaine had spent part of the following season on loan with Icelandic side Vikingur, and made only a few appearances for Stoke before spending a trial period at Blundell Park.

Much was thought of Jermaine, but he failed to break into the first team, jostling with Reddy, Jones, Gritton etc was always going to be tough going, so Slade gave Palmer a chance to get some first team games under his belt by loaning him to Scarborough.

He then went on to play for York City and Redditch United that season on loan, before being released at the end of the season. Palmer signed for Conference North club Alfreton Town in summer 2006, but was released a few months later.
