John Lukic

John Lukic was the son of the Arsenal and Leeds United legend, also named John Lukic. Unlike his dad though, Lukic Jr started off playing with Nottingham Forest.

He emerged into the first team books at the City Ground in the 2004/2005 season, and much was thought of the youngster, however in June 2005 a goalkeeper clear out saw Lukic exit Forest along with Pascal Formann and Barry Roache.

He signed for Grimsby almost straight away and was the first signing that season along with Terry Barwick. His first team chances never came though and after making a slight appearance for the first team in John McDermott's testimonial, he was crippled with a bad injury setback, leaving Robert Murray to take his spot as Steve Mildenhall's back up.

Lukic was released at the end of his first season, and so far there has been no indication that he has played anywhere since.
