THE Mariners head into their second game of the Easter period, knowing they need to pick up maximum points against mid-table Blackpool if they are to hope to avoid a second successive relegation.

Jamie Lawrence suffered a knee injury during Saturday's defeat at QPR and looks like being out for a while. He will definitely miss Monday's game with Blackpool. Craig Armstrong, who also went off at Loftus Road with a thigh strain is also ruled out of the Bank Holiday clash.

Striker Isaiah Rankin is also doubtful with a thigh strain.

The one piece of good news in that Darren Barnard has now served his two match suspension and will come straight back into the starting XI, probably in place of Simon Ford, with Jason Crowe reverting to right back.

Blackpool are expected to keep with the same side that defeated Brighton at home on Saturday.
