The trouble is that the old saying of 'the cream will come to the top' normally
applies in football as well, i cannot for one moment  diss the effort of the
players and coaching staff at GTFC, but we are very unimpressive in 2014,
lacking in quality and not looking like a side on the up, i just feel sadly, that
effort will not be enough, even if we do qualify for the play offs i feel we will
fall short - as usual, i always qualify this with ' i hope i am wrong'!

Do you think he realises that his shattering of players confidence and ruining any momentum is a huge reason as to why we were excrement tonight?

If what you saw tonight (if indeed you were there) equates to your definition of "shite" then I really would advise you to find a new hobby.
Over this next week we will truly see the value of rotating the squad...

You are stunningly blind to whats going on with players and whats actually happening on the pitch.

PontoonLew..confidante to all the players. His door is always open if you want to pop round for a cup of tea and shed loads of sympathy after you've had your confidence brutally shattered....

Crikey that's very harsh. We were much the better team tonight, some of the build up play was very good again and we stopped the opposition making it 7 wins in a row.

Of course the lack of a cutting edge may come back to bite us in the play offs, but I think tonights point will be seen as one gained in the end.

On the other side of the coin, I would be very disappointed with Hurst if its true that he is angry with the fans for not feeling the same about LJL as he obviously does.Everyone around me, and indeed me didn't want him to take the penalty. So what? A striker out of "form" (although I think he is one of those players who never is actually "in" form), who cannot hit a barn door is not my idea of someone who should take a crucial penalty.

However I must applaud Lewis for having the guts to take it.

It does makes sense.

Jon McLaughlan, our current goalie, is a liability. He's outta contract in the summer and we'll be in the market for a new one.

A lot of our fans thought it was gonna be Craig MacGillvray of Harrogate Town - watched by numerous Championship clubs - we still might sign him.

Our fans seem to think we've been watching Paddy McLaughlan too?

The biggest positive tonight was Tounkara actually carving out and scoring a chance for himself. He must start the next game after that. The rest of it, well I don't even know where to start. 16.9% of penalties are missed when taken by attacking players, so well done to LJL for showing such resolve in overcoming those huge odds.

In fairness taking a penalty as well as he did in the 95th minute requires Balotelli-esque levels of bottle to equalise in an important game.

Don't know what game you went to tonight Lew,was you there or just listening in to RH ?.   I really enjoyed it,thought we played some good football. I think people tend to watch to much premier league on the box, for me thats boring, would sooner get my ar$e to these games at BP and as many aways as possible, much more unpredictable and exciting..
